  1. After our Melbourne holiday we are fast catching up with recordings and are now into the M/Chef recordings we scheduled every night. We are big fans but this year they have stepped up a few more notches. Some great cooks there this year. Thank God for our two, dual tuner DVR’s – we don’t have to miss anything that way.
Ratings are the best for a long time. Renovation shows are sinking whilst Masterchef is rising. That makes me very happy. Ten can look forward to better times coming up 🙂

  2. bettestreep2008

Enjoying MCA but am reeling at the number of challenges that Reynold has done freaking brilliantly …and then the judges awarding it to one of the women.

For the record I think Reynold has scored 3 ‘brilliant’ dishes in a row and has lost all 3 times to a female contestant.

This has been the most annoying aspect of an entertaining series to date.

I am predicting the first challenge that Reynold delivers an A- dish he will be booted out pronto.

  3. Last week Reno Rumble was simulcast on GO! and it got 1.9 in overnights, this week no Reno Rumble simulcast and GO! gets 4.0 on overnights (3.4 the week before that), shows the strength of the multi-channels. Last week TEN beat Nine by 0.9, if they had of kept the normal programming for GO! last week they would have beaten TEN in overalls, hope this is a lessoned learned.

Though I do note that GEM is down by 0.6, with Poirot and Agatha Christie’s Marple not making the top 20 like last week as both got more viewers than normal (around 53,000 more).

  4. Wow… Amazing by Ten 🙂

It can only increase (albeit perhaps gradually) from here!

Even more so, seeing it was an ‘immunity challenge’. Usually they’re one of the lower ones. Even during 2010, other episodes would rate between 1.6-2m and it would get a lower 1.4-1.5m.

Great news there, including all the demos and Ten’s primary and network shares.

    • Last nights masterchef was the second ep I’ve watched of this season. I normally avoid the immunity challenge episode because they are the weakest episodes in the series but when I saw the promotion with the sandwich maker I wanted to see what would be created.

  5. Great to see Masterchef doing so well. Its great this year. Seven would be starting to panic i think with House Rules although this did happen in season 1. I seriously think Seven should reconsider a second season this year. I guess the one positive is its only Melbourne that its losing to Reno Rumble.
