Will Lee Lin Chin tell Eurovision “Vienna, you look fabulous tonight”?

There's only one SBS face who can make a statement with their outfit and delivery in 90 seconds during the Eurovision Grand Final.

SBS icon Lee Lin Chin, who is always up for a new challenge, would be happy to read Australia’s Eurovision votes in the Grand Final is she is asked.

While she admitted to being a little unfamiliar with the famous voting portion of the Eurovision Song Contest, she said she had not been asked.

“I have no say in programming decisions. I’m just the hired help,” she told TV Tonight.

“I would consider it.

“I’m not overly familiar with the format. But if they ask me (I would do it)….. I can’t push myself.”

Lee Lin Chin, would be a hot contender for the role given each presenter has little more than 90 seconds to make an impact with their outfit and delivery of their nation’s votes. Eurovision tragics look forward to striking presenters giving “Douze points” and telling the host nation they look fabulous.

Meanwhile, Ms. Chin is quietly pleased her videos for SBS 2’s The Feed have been widely praised.

“It’s all a happy development. It didn’t plan things this way. (The show) did on my behalf. But I didn’t say to myself one day, ‘I think it’s time to give Comedy a crack,'” she continued.

“So I hope it has, I don’t know. I try not to look too closely at reactions.

But she said it was up to host Marc Fennell to organise the next video.

“He’s in charge. I’m just the hired help,” she said.

“I wasn’t even at their Christmas drinks.”

“You were invited. You need to check your emails more often!” Fennell retorted.

“I do not recall,” Chin insisted.

If The Feed clips have attained cult status Chin isn’t daunted by the thought of Eurovision’s audience of over 180 million viewers.

“Name one.”

  1. I feel as though priority should go to Julia and/or Sam, but if they’re not available or ineligible or whatever, 110% Lee Lin Chin.

    1. I think you’re confused. This isn’t about hosting, it’s about who back in Australia should read out our votes on TV. Julia and Sam will be in Vienna – I hope!
