Australian screenwriter Sarah Dollard (Being Human, The Game, Merlin, Neighbours, The Saddle Club) is writing the 10th episode of the upcoming Doctor Who season.
She is believed to be the first Aussie to write for Doctor Who since Anthony Coburn (1963) and Bill Strutton (1965).
The episode sees the return of Joivan Wade as Rigsy, the young graffiti artist who helped save the world in Flatline, and is directed by Justin Molotnikov.
“Getting to play in the Doctor Who toy box is a dream come true. It’s a total honour to contribute to a show that has brought me such joy as a fan. However, writing for Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman has presented a serious problem: some days I’ve been too excited to actually sit down and type!” Dollard said.
Also appearing this season are Maisie Williams, Michelle Gomez, Rebecca Front, Rufus Hound, Paul Kaye and Jaye Griffiths.
I got a bit overwhelmed/emoshe yesterday but I want to say thank you for all the nice messages about my #DoctorWho news. THANK YOU <3

Fantastic! Now we just need them to film an episode here … maybe a Christmas Episode???
That would be a great idea … a Red Christmas instead of a White Christmas! 🙂
