  1. Don’t think the ratings had such a large gap to say that nine had two final shows on last night, at least we don’t have as many reality shows on for a few nights, and why they have to separate The Grand Final and Winner announced is really stupid, do they really get that many more viewers or is it just a ploy to appear they have done well?

  2. I bet 9 come up with a show crossed between the block and married at first sight. Well probably not but they’d want to keep doing well.

Watched the final ep of Revenge. I get why they stopped after this series but I have enjoyed it and I will miss it monday nights. Everyone needs a nolan in there life. But it was a nice ending and good to see Emily/Amanda get a nice ending.

  3. bettestreep2008

Looks like a lot of people stayed home and watched tv last night. Thought the Married at 1st sight ratings were impressive until I realised Ten put up nothing against it – Anchorman repeat?

MCA did well up against the two reno shows – so if Reno Rumble can rate over 1.3 m for the finale – surely MCA finale should rate close to 2m? Depending on what the other stations put up against it of course.

And simmo3 – I agree with you re Georgia. Visit the MCA FB page and you’ll see a lot of viewers are getting peeved with the amount of screentime Georgia gets and the obvious bias the judges are showing her. As for the constant crying and whinging …a real turn off.

But then again – watching reality TV contestants cry, complain, meltdown, bitch, whinge etc is what gets ratings nowdadays.

    Sigh.

  4. Watched Masterchef on 10.
Recorded Revenge on 7 for my wife for later.
Recorded Touch of Frost on 72 and watched after M/Chef. 🙂
Also recorded Cities of the Underworld on 72 for myself to view later.

  5. spectrum warrior

I dont understand “married at first sight” either. But if you can get an audience to watch that stuff, all power to you. As for Masterchef, it would be normal for a bit of viewer fatigue to creep in. Last nights elimination wasnt a good one. they need to concentrate on foods the viewer might be interested in.

    • Don’t agree that last night M/Chef was not a good show. It was good.
Nine make powerful Promo’s and suck viewers in. They tehn watch and fall asleep and Oztam meters count 9 as the winner.

Ten needs to look at Next Sunday as Nine are starting that non-star creating singing show The Voice at 7pm instead of 7:30pm. I think Ten will have to have something big on be4 Masterchef not to lose viewers or move Masterchef to match Nine’s sneaky trick. 😉

        • I hope so David. Sunday will be a test for viewers loyalty. Ten deserve a break for such an excellent show. We look forward to watching it every night it is on. Will be recording the Voice as the first few weeks are boring anyway. That way we can skip past the useless singers. 🙂

  6. Beats me why anyone would watch Married at first sight ….and are Masterchef viewers getting sick and tired of Georgia crying all the time and getting special treatment ?

    • Secret Squïrrel

I don’t watch MC but there’s something wrong when a 9pm trashy fake show with manipulated drama rates higher than a 7:30 well-produced competition show with manipulated drama.
