Nine win finally halts Seven sweep

Ratings: Nine looks like it has won its first official week of the ratings year.

Nine has won last week’s ratings after pulling the biggest audience on the year for the State of Origin.

The match pulled 2.5m viewers (preliminary ratings had put it at 2.62m), but it still topped the first game of 2.34m. On that occasion Nine also won the week but lost it to Seven after Consolidated viewing.

That’s unlikely to happen this time with Nine with a better lead.

  1. S.O.O. blasts the opposition, on the three Wednesdays, thru the year!
No doubt the NRL will look for Nine’s pound of flesh (read buckets of dollars), at the next round of contract negotiations!!

  2. To say that 9 had such a massive win on Wednesday, there was not that big a gap between them and seven, and have not heard nine shout from the roof top yet that they won last weeks ratings, which is surprising as that is the first thing they do if they beat another channel.
