Seven has confirmed the pop-up sites for its upcoming reality series, Restaurant Revolution.

From today, five restaurant shells will be craned into capital cities across Australia with production set to commence this month.

Sydney – Centenary Square, Parramatta
Melbourne – St Kilda Triangle Site, Lower Esplanade, St Kilda
Brisbane – Corner of Russell St and Grey St, Southbank
Adelaide – Victoria Square
Perth- 103 Oxford St, Leederville

Five teams will be given the chance to design and run their own pop-up restaurant in the new multi-night reality show while viewers will able to dine in and experience the food, service and atmosphere.

It’s not entirely clear if any of the sites will become permanent venues or what prize is on offer.

The show will screen later this year.

  1. I wonder if the Perth site is the recently closed ANZ branch. That’s right in the heart of Leedy so would get a lot of traffic and attention!

  2. I saw the commercial last night, it was so cheap and cringe worthy. Hopefully the production values of the show are of a higher standard.

Again Tassie misses out, in case the network chiefs have forgotten their capital cities of Australia, Hobart is one of them, and I am biased but the most beautiful and right now I think the coldest.

    • I’d argue Tassie is pretty well represented in reality these days. MKR and House Rules have had Tasmanian teams the last few seasons. Just because one show doesn’t showcase the smallest state capital doesn’t mean networks are ignoring TAS.

    • Well technically Hobart has such a low population that Melbourne is the capital of Tassie
But I agree with your general comment- I always get so annoyed that we keep trying to push greater indigenous involvement in our media, yet the NT rarely gets contestants in reality TV. Other than Idol and Master chef, and I think one TARA team. And yet we’ve had Kiwis competing against Aussies.
