  1. What I feared earlier this week came true. 7pm start for the Voice worked for Nine. Ten needs to wake up to these games 🙁
    Watched Masterchef on 10.
Recorded The Voice on 9 and watched straight after M/Chef.
    Then watched some recordings. 🙂

    • Ten shouldn’t change MasterChef to 7pm as it will be a killer for the show. Ten should play these games and besides Ten is doing a lot better then what Seven and Nine are doing. If they do play these games then the share will be down, if they played their cards right then they will do well and not be dictated by Seven and Nine

  2. I agree with the comment above re: the voice, not sure twin team is working, joel fun personality suppressed, Jessie J good choice for pulling power, but other judges seem intimidated, dynamics between judges not enjoyable to watch, really hope this improves along with choosing high quality and worthwhile singers, like they did back in the days of Keith & Seal. Unfortunately clever editing, judge drama and antics only attract interest, real Australians are inspired by people with heart, and character, who deserved to have you watch them for half an hour of your time.

  3. TasTVcameraman

As David has noted earlier maybe time for TEN to start Masterchef on at 7.00 pm of a Sunday and drop the second episode of the show prior, or are they waiting to put Scorpion in that time slot ?

  4. bettestreep2008

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the MCA ratings dip. There are three reasons why this happened;-

    1. The Voice blind auditions always rate through the roof. Watch the ratings dive when the singing contest actually starts…just like what happened in season 1 and 2.
    2. The House rules reveals always rate well. The ratings have been up and down depending on whether it is a reveal or not.
    3. MCA dragged on until well after 9pm last night. 1.5 hours of cooking is too much for even the most devout fan IMO.

MCA will rate below 800k again tonight and tomorrow night while Voice blind auditions continue but will pick up again later.

I think Tens bigger problem is the performance of everything they have on after MCA. Repeats of NCIS just won’t cut it anymore.

  5. why anyone (let alone that many people) would watch judges showing off in front of people they are supposed to be mentoring is beyond me. they really do not set a good example.

    • The Voice is OK and we record it and enjoy it mostly, your point about the judges is correct. It is one part of why I record The Voice – so we can spool over all the rubbish and just watch the singers. The show is all about them, not the judges.

  6. We didn’t watch anything live until CSI: Cyber came on. Recorded Gotham, Arrow, Bones and The Following, mainly because most of them started way too late due to reality show over-runs…..

  7. Poor Masterchef Australia! I cannot believe how disloyal the audience is to a superior show. Well done to the voice but those House Rules numbers are a joke… House rules is a pathetic, cheap copycat of the Block and I am shocked people watched it over Masterchef.
