Airdate: Sing It On / People Just Do Nothing. Returning: King of the Nerds

Channel [V] will screen John Legend-produced a cappella doco plus a UK mockumentary on a hip hop radio station.

Channel [V] will premiere several new titles from late July including a cappella doco-reality series Sing It On produced by John Legend, UK mockumentary People Just Do Nothing and Season 2 of King of the Nerds.

It will also begin the entire UK teen drama Skins from Season 1.

Executively Produced by Oscar and Grammy-winning artist John Legend, this documentary-style reality series follows singing groups from American universities as they juggle academics, rehearsals and relationships, all while vying for a spot at the International Championship. It’s the real life Pitch Perfect on Channel [V].

People Just Do Nothing

People Just Do Nothing is a mockumentary series following the highs and lows of one of West London’s most talked about pirate radio stations (within a 300 metre radius of the transmitter) – Kurupt FM. Led by self-proclaimed garage ‘legend’ MC Grindah, and his second in command DJ Beats, this hapless crew of social dropouts share the secrets behind running an illegal business and demonstrate that chasing your dreams is actually a full-time job. You’ll be in stiches when you tune in.

King of the Nerds Season 2
Tuesdays from August 4 at 9.30pm

King of the Nerds follows contestants as they compete in challenges testing their intellect, creativity and pop-culture knowledge in order to win a $100,000 prize and to be crowned “the greatest nerd of them all”. These eccentric characters live together in one house called “Nerdvana”, and start out competing in teams before moving on to individual challenges.

Mondays from July 20 at 9.30pm
Monday nights on Channel [V] follow the messy lives, loves, highs and lows of a group of disorderly British teens who are trying to grow up. With an iconic soundtrack featuring Grizzly Bear, Chemical Brothers, Gossip and Bloc Party, Skins is a must-see comedy drama. Known as the predecessor to infamous shows such as Misfits, The Inbetweeners and Gossip Girl, here’s your chance to catch this awesome British drama if you missed it first time round.
