Lone gunmen returning to X Files

Dean Haglund tells an excited Sydney crowd, a fan-fave trio is headed back to The X Files.

The X Files trio The Lone Gunmen, who also appeared in a spin-off series of the same name, are back for the rebooted series, currently shooting in Vancouver.

Dean Haglund, who portrayed Langley, revealed the news to a crowd in Sydney’s Camelot Lounge, Haglund ahead of posting the news on Twitter.

He will be joined by former co-stars Bruce Harwood and Tom Braidwood, Television Revolution reports, despite being killed off in previous episodes.

Until recently Haglund had been telling fans he was unaware of any plans for The Lone Gunmen to return.

“Well, today they contacted us. We’re shooting July 28. The gunmen are in the final 6″, Haglund revealed.

  1. Well, Mulder popped back up again after being dead and buried for a year…the pilot ep of the ‘Lone Gunmen’ series, which featured a plot to fly an airliner into the World Trade Centre in New York was shown here the week it actually happened on 11.9.2001.
