  1. Fantastic ratings for MasterChef & Ten. Much deserved 🙂

David is that the best ratings for a 10pm-11pm (roughly) show, at least this year? 600k+ for HYBPA at that time :O

Also, do you know when the Grand Final for this years MasterChef was filmed please?

    I know it wasn’t pre-recorded & Live split like 2010.

  2. bettestreep2008

daveinprogress – I think the reason they keep Steve Price on is because Waleed and Peter are too leftwing and they need a rightwinger to appease Gina Rinehardt and Rupert Murdoch. Both Gina and Rupert have shares in Ten and wouldn’t be pleased if The Project was leftwing biased like they allege Q&A is. It probably also explains why they have Joe Hockey, Christopher Pyne and Andrew Bolt on so many times.

    • I agree Steve Price is there for balance….And balance is good. I doubt he is only there due to Murdoch and Gina. I think Bolt has only been on the show twice (and twice too many IMO) Pyne has been quite entertaining (surprisingly) when he has been on. Hockey is the Federal Treasurer so fair enough to be there often (but he has not been on recently)…..and as for the Prime Minister….he (stupidly) refuses to go on the show….so I don’t there is that bigger link between The Project and the Libs. The Bolt Report…….another kettle of fish. (what a crazy saying that is)

  3. daveinprogress

Great numbers for The Project; it must have been the imminent Masterchef finale, as it was a pretty awful ep i thought without Waleed and with sourpuss Steve Price. Why oh why do they keep him? Cutaways of him looking unimpressed does nothing for him, nor the recipient of the dirty looks, Pete Helliar who is just wonderful. I nearly gave up The Project with Dave Hughes, but Pete/Lehmo/Tommy in that seat is just right. Chris Brown looked out of his depth too. Whinge over.

  4. The Project ratings highest results I have seen. If some of those viewers liked what they saw it can only do good from here for Project ratings.

Watched Masterchef on 10 to the very end and loved it. Nice contestants, no fake drama, just talented cooks. Billie was a touch better in the end and far more composed. Georgia did very well too. We liked both 🙂

Recorded Touch of Frost and also caught up with recordings after M/Chef finished 🙂

Best night for Ten for years and well deserved 🙂

  5. Holly crap look at those ratings for MC! One of the best Grand final eps of all time! Ten did really well promoting their upcoming shows but I didn’t see them push their morning show which I thought was a missed opportunity

  6. Well Done on winning the night Channel 10!
Wow H&A 4th in its timeslot. Again shuffling drama to suit reality (for RR at 7:30 Thurs) is damaging any chance any 7 drams has!

  7. An absolutely outstanding result for Masterchef Australia! 1.84m was a huge number for a 2hr+ show, but then to have 2.13m watch the winner announced… Channel 10 must of had tears in their eyes this morning! Billie was spectacular, and George was a worthy opponent. Heston is a freakish human being I must say!
