  1. Great to see George Gently on the ABC is rating well. What a great drama this is, well made and acted. Just love Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby. Goes to show that many still love a quality BBC drama.

  2. bettestreep2008

So almost 2m people tuned in to watch the ‘bitching’ between Jessie and Delta and some of those viewers were people switching off MCA because of the blatant favouritism the judges are showing one particular contestant.

I didn’t turn over to The Voice – or House Rules – but was disgusted with the judges on MCA. When a team broke all the rules that Marco set out at the beginning and still wins because the contestant had the -cough- dish of the day – well I am sure a lot of MCA viewers kicked in their tv sets in disgust.

Really bad show last night. Can’t compare it to the others cos I don’t- and never will – watch them.

  3. Watched Masterchef on 10 – great show again with Marco.
Recorded The Voice on 9 and watched after M/Chef.
Recorded cycling, as it was only time trails on SBS30.
Watched tennis mens final on 7 until winner hit last ball. Two very nice players. Good example for sport.
Recorded George Gentle on 2 for another day. 🙂

  4. Masterchef lost itself a lot of viewers last night (including me) if social media comments are anything to go by with their now very obvious bias towards certain contestants…such a pity. However I still won’t be watching The Voice.

    • Have only seen sunday eps the last few weeks so only can comment on those. Not sure if its the judging, the editing or a combination by the bias towards certain contestants is almost unwatchable. If anything up until the judges gave their verdict last night expected to hear the red team had won.

  5. I don’t get why viewers follow the Voice, it is just a singing competition with a twist?? I suppose they get a huge lead in from Nine News which always helps. Masterchef is a much more interesting show and deserves better ratings.

    • Agreed. Last night’s episode was great. I kept commenting to my husband that the music kept you engaged! I liked the variation in the opening without the three judges too. Pity The Voice is impacting on Masterchefs numbers. And to add to your comment we never hear about these singers again after the show airs, but how many contestants from Masterchef get their dream, with many getting a cooking show or national recognition?

      • Voice has made up drama between Jessie J and Delta. That sucks N7ne viewers in every time. Glad M/Chef has gone back to real cooking and no bitching nor dramas.
When Blinds are over ratings will drop. Voice has not produced 1 known star yet.
