Hopefully this is safer than an arm-wrestle….

On Friday night Nine will screen Footy Show Fight Night, a boxing match between several fighters at Melbourne Pavilion.

It will be hostd by Erin Molan.

Three-weight world champion and esteemed boxing trainer, Jeff Fenech, has assembled a crack team of boxers who will, this Friday, compete in the next instalment of the Footy Show Fight Night – broadcast live and free from Melbourne Pavilion straight after Friday night NRL football on Channel Nine.

Former world title holder, Wild Will Tomlinson, will face a career-defining fight when he competes against the highly rated Filipino contender, Adones Aguelo. Tomlinson recently returned to Australia after living and campaigning in the United States where he fought against the likes of world number one, Francisco Vargas.

The Footy Show co-host, Erin Molan, will host coverage of the bout, joined in expert commentary by sportscaller Ray Hadley and current WBC Silver Super Welterweight Champion, Anthony “The Man” Mundine, and former IBF World Featherweight and IBO Super Featherweight Champion, Billy “The Kid” Dib.

Ebullient Footy Show Fight Night ring announcer, Mark Warren, also returns and will provide interviews with all the main fighters on the night.

The undercard will feature undefeated Australian Heavyweight Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne, who is scheduled to contest the world heavyweight title in his next bout. But first he must overcome seven-foot American Julius Long in what promises to be a battle of the knock-out artists.

Also on the card is former Olympian, Jai Opetaia, who Jeff Fenech has touted as the next big thing in Australian boxing.

The entire undercard will also be streamed, live and free, on every device at 9Jumpin.com.au.

10pm Friday on Nine. Check local guides for details.
