Doctor Who: trailer

"I'm the Doctor. And I save people!" declares a (rock star) Peter Capaldi.

“I’m the Doctor. And I save people!” declares a (rock-star) Peter Capaldi in the new trailer for the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

The clip includes footage of Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) who will feature as “a brand new character. She is not someone from the Doctor’s past,” according to showrunner Steven Moffat.

We also see the return of Michelle Gomez as Missy, which has been reported for some time.

The series is due on ABC in September but broadcast plans are yet to be unveiled.

  1. No matter how ‘bad’ the show gets it’s still streets ahead of most other show, and it’s been going over 50 years.

Would love it if Ferguson had some part in the new series. But either way I can’t wait for Doctor Who to return, wonder if it will be leaked again?

    1. The show has been going for ten years. There was another show of the same name with a main character of the same name which ran from 1963-1989. Even combining the durations of these two different shows only adds up to 36 years.

  2. Hard to muster the excitement for this. The show lost its way about half-way through the Smith years, IMO. I’ll watch out of loyalty and curiosity, but I think this show won’t recover until Moffatt moves on. He’s a great writer, but his time here hasn’t been well spent.

  3. If in the scene where Peter Capaldi strums down on the guitar which appears to see him on stage, I would mark out like a school boy if Craig Ferguson was in that scene on the drums (highly unlikely I know but still I would).
