Facebook’s favourite TV shows

Bananas in Pyjamas has more "Likes" than any other Aussie TV -but Breakfast TV dominates in engagement.

Bananas in Pyjamas is the most “Liked” Australian TV show on Facebook.

Between March and June this year the ABC show had 2.68m “Likes” enjoyed by audiences in Australia and overseas.

In second place was MasterChef Australia at 1.44m and Home and Away at 1.39m Likes. Both shows are seen in dozens of territories around the world, which add to their total numbers.

Data collated by Social Pulse and analysed by Online Circle Digital lists the following popular shows:

But when it comes to the level of Engagement -the level of activity- it is Breakfast TV that dominates.

In fact Today and Sunrise don’t just top the television brands, they lead all industry brands including airlines, magazines, music, sport, politics, retail, pets and more.

  1. sunrise have turned their page into a money spinner by posting sponsered you tube clips. dont care if they have ads for their own content but other peoples content is just wrong.
