Well-regarded actor Jeremy Lindsay Taylor is headed Seven’s Home and Away.

The former Puberty Blues and Sea Patrol star will play Detective Dylan Carter alongside Pia Miller’s character, Kat Chapman.

“I’ve been doing this nearly 20 years now, so it has been a long time coming,” Lindsay Taylor told News Corp.

“I have always wanted to be a part of this. Home and Away is an institution, it is iconic Australian TV. It is great to finally be a part of the family.

“I play a great role, my character is very complex and very interesting so that is really what drew me to it.”

He most recently appeared in Gallipoli, House of Hancock and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

  1. Good addition to the cast….. Let’s hope he brings along an actual family instead of having every misfit kid in town stay with the only adults in the show, its getting ridiculous…. I don’t know why they don’t being back older cast members who would have their own families…. They need to do something to lift the sagging ratings….

    1. “Complex character” – Home and Away – really. He’ll be as dodgy as every other detective they’ve ever had.

As fo misfit kids staying with the adults – isn’t that the premise of the show, though I agree it needs families too. Would be a good story actually and true to the premise of the show to bring in a family and reveal a year or so down the line the kids are adopted.
