Jessica Rowe says Eddie McGuire “made my life hell.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t have a lot of good to say about that man because he made my life hell," says Studio 10 panelist.

Studio 10 panelist Jessica Rowe has hit out at Nine’s Eddie McGuire amid recent questioning his disrespectful language.
McGuire has declined to apologise for calling Victorian Sports Minister John Eren a “soccer loving Turkish born Mussie” defending that the term is not racist.
But today Jessica Rowe, who was sacked from the Today show when McGuire was Nine CEO, told Studio 10 he made her life “hell” at the time.
An affidavit from Mark Llewellyn claimed McGuire had said in a 2006 executive meeting, “What are we gonna do about Jessica? When should we bone her? I reckon it should be next week.” He denied using the term.
Referring also to recent Adam Goodes comments, today Rowe said McGuire had form in the language he uses.
“If he is not smart enough, and I don’t think he is, to moderate his language depending on the sort of forum he is in, he has to take the flak for it,” she said.

Get over it, Jess…
Hope she remembers her hubby is being paid good money still on that network…. just wouldn’t wanna upset the apple cart there dear 🙂
??? Eddie was CEO nearly 10 years ago for a disastrous 15 months. He has gone to back to hosting a game show for Nine. I hardly think the station is going to fire Peter Overton because his wife made a few comments about Eddie. If that was the policy no one in the media would ever say anything about anybody.
Plus anyways, what did she find out – all bosses are b–tards, unbelievable, I can’t feel sympathy for someone who was probably earning $10k a week or more back then
This happens in every workplace so toughen up
Not convinced ‘toughen up’ is the right response to disrespectful language. Aussie TV execs use some of the most unbelievable vernacular.
Jessica was publicly embarrassed by his removing of her and supposedly using the term ‘bone’. But my memory of this was that Eddie ended up looking really bad from his time as head executive at Nine. I know Jessica has battled various issues and I applaud her courage in being honest about those. But lots of people lose jobs, lose face and changes in circumstances. I don’t think this helps any criticism of Eddie’s language and ethnic/racist comments. Different circumstances.
Good on Jess for finally going on the record about this, workplace bullying should never be tolerated, and “old boys” like Eddie need to be taken to account with their out of date sexist/racist attitudes.
Seems like Studio Ten couldn’t type in Eddie’s name correctly.
How rude of Jessica to make those comments. Obviously she’s still bitter about the public ‘boning’ from Today. I worked with Eddie at Triple M back in the day and always found him respectful, professional and fun to work with. And unlike Jess he comes across as natural and relatable on radio and TV.
Why is it rude? She is entitled to her opinion. By all means defend your colleague Eddie, but there’s no need to attack Jessica Rowe.
Rude? How on earth is this rude? She’s entitled to talk about her experiences in life. Her comments aren’t rude, they’re brave… and valid
Uh, it’s not “a bit precious” to call out this “racsist” (sic). Mussie is not a term of affection and this kind of lazy, stupid ignorance should not be accepted from someone like Eddie. He used to keep on top of this kind of stuff, but as he’s aged and got tired, he can’t be bothered concealing the bigotry. The AFL expects their crowds to fall into line, but do nothing when this kind of thing happens behind closed doors. Not good enough.
Much ado about nothing!
Eddie has foot in mouth form but I don’t think this is racsist. If it is deemed so, then we are all becoming a bit precious.
I couldn’t stand Eddie McGuire because he was being very rude especially with the Adam Goodes King Kong comments he made from 2013 AFL Season against the Magpies.
