4 Comments:

  1. A show about spelling should never have been considered as prime time viewing! ……Ten should hang their heads in shame for this monumental stupid piece of programming! ….

  2. bettestreep2008

Ten had a disastrous night. Surely they have stuffed up Spelling Bee by putting it on a very un-family friendly timeslot?

Most 8-12 year olds are in bed about 8pm on a Monday night….and I am sure it finished about 8.45pm last night.

I can’t see it returning next year.

    • I recall the initial episodes were allocated 1 and a half hrs. I thought that was far too long for a quiz show and didn’t bother giving it a go. Just checked the epg and its scheduled for 1 and a qtr hours tonight but that’s still too long. Any kind of quiz show should be max 1hr. If as an adult I know that a quiz show won’t keep my attention span over an hour I don’t know how ten could’ve thought children could last that long for a quiz show.
