Marcus Graham (Janet King, Crownies) as political correspondent Andrew “Griff” Griffiths

Max Cullen (The Great Gatsby, Devil’s Playground) as Les Gordon, Kim’s father
Inspired by Chris Uhlmann and Steve Lewis’ novels The Marmalade Files and The Mandarin Code, the six-part series set in a world of secrets, lies, murder and betrayal – beneath the placid facade of Canberra. Amidst rising tension between China and America, journalist Harriet Dunkley (Torv) will uncover a secret city of interlocked conspiracies, putting innocent lives in danger – including her own.
Secret City has been written by Matt Cameron (Jack Irish, Old School), Belinda Chayko (The Gods of Wheat Street, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Old School) and Greg Waters (Janet King, Devil’s Dust), who is also Script Producer.
It will be directed by Emma Freeman (Glitch, Tangle, Hawke, Puberty Blues). Joanna Werner (Dance Academy, Ready For This) will produce with Executive Producers as Foxtel’s Head of Drama Penny Win, and Penny Chapman, from Matchbox Pictures.
The miniseries, which will be filmed at Parliament House, the National Gallery, the Australian National University and around Lake Burley Griffin, will air on Showcase in 2016.

Hey Alan Dale got a promotion from NCIS Director to Australian Prime Minister.
Bit harsh on Miss Fisher Angela. it did a good job in its genre.
Sounds quite interesting.
They have to change the Charles Dancer name though… Bit obvious who they pictured playing the character when writing.
Wow!
A fantastic cast and promising to see this is directed by Emma Freeman who was associated with brilliant local dramas such as Puberty Blues and Tangle.
Emma has also done Offspring, Party Tricks, Love My Way, Rush, Miss Fisher, Secret Life of Us…
An impressive portfolio, except for Miss Fisher…
Glitch has seen Emma’s career step up a gear so it will be great to see what she does here.
The rest of her credits were far more successful than Glitch.
