TEN takes top entertainment title so far this year

Ratings: It was a strong performance by TEN, but in the end Nine won another week.

MasterChef Australia‘s “Winner Announced” topped the week at 2.13m viewers last week, making it the top Entertainment title so far this year.

It led a strong week for TEN, winning the 16-39 Demo and their primary channel just 0.4% behind Seven’s. The channel was equal first with Nine in Melbourne, beat Seven in Sydney and was second in Adelaide and Perth.

But it was another win by Nine with the Ashes on GEM helping to give network share a convincing lead.

The Voice (Sun: 1.47m), Nine News (Sun: 1.41m), A Current Affair (949,000) and The Hotplate (Launch: 782,000).

Seven News (Sun: 1.3m), Home and Away (733,000), Dancing with the Stars (712,000) and Better Homes and Gardens (683,000 in 4 cities).

MasterChef Australia (Winner: 2.13m / GF Pt2: 1.84m),  The Bachelor (Launch: 846,000),  The Project (7pm: 671,000) and Have You Been Paying Attention? (642,000).

ABC News (Sat: 988,000), Australian Story (895,000) and Father Brown (850,000).

Who Do You Think You Are? (347,000), Go Back to Where You Came From (345,000) and Dan Snow’s History of Railways (317,000).

Nine ranked first in 18-49 and 25-54 Demos, but TEN scored in 16-39.

Nine took Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Seven won Tuesday and Saturday, TEN won Monday. ABC bettered Nine and TEN on Saturday and TEN on Friday.

Nine was victorious in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Seven retained Adelaide (by just 0.7%) and Perth.
