Who Do You Think You Are? lifts SBS

Ratings: Genealogy series draws 458,000 for SBS, while Nine wins its third night of the week.

Seven’s quick-fix with Dr. Harry’s Craziest House Calls swept into the 7:30pm timeslot did not work well for Seven last night. At just 476,000 viewers it was lower than last week’s Restaurant Revolution (676,000) and finished fourth in its timeslot behind ABC. But Seven made up ground with a double Winners and Losers through to 10:30pm.

Nine’s Hot Plate won the timeslot at 942,000 viewers with TEN’s Spelling Bee slipping to 801,000 but still scoring well in the Demos.

SBS enjoyed a good debut with Who Do You Think You Are? at 458,000, nearly pipping Seven, and lifting their evening share.

Nine network won with 27.9% then Seven 25.8%, TEN 21.0%, ABC 18.2% and SBS 7.1%.

Nine News (1.16m / 1.12m) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (969,000), The Hot Plate (942,000), Hot Seat (683,000), The Truth About Calories (579,000) and Embarrassing Bodies Down Under (383,000).

Seven News (1.05m / 977,000) led for Seven then Home and Away (762,000), Winners and Losers (574,000 / 570,000), Dr. Harry’s Craziest House Calls (476,000) and Million Dollar Minute (472,000).

The Great Australian Spelling Bee (801,000) was best for TEN. The Project was 739,000 / 535,000, TEN Eyewitness News was 600,000, NCIS was 502,000 and NCIS: LA was 425,000.

ABC News (816,000), Kevin McCloud’s Escape to the Wild (763,000), 7:30 (663,000), Foreign Correspondent (550,000) and Wonders of Life (386,000) comprised ABC.

On SBS it was Who Do You Think You Are? (458,000), Insight (323,000), Dateline (187,000) and SBS World News (164,000).

ABC2’s Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom (262,000) topped multichannels.
