Former Partridge Family heartthrob David Cassidy gave an awkward interview to ITV’s This Morning following news that he had filed for bankruptcy and sold his Florida home as a result of a divorce.

Struggling somewhat with the satellite link, Cassidy, 65, did not take kindly to host Eamonn Holmes probing his financial situation.

“Does that mean you will be able to live off the money you;ve cashed in on, pay off your debts and come out the other side?” Holmes asked.

“I’m sorry I don’t understand what you’ asking me about my debts,” Cassidy replied.

“When you declare bankruptcy in this country, it’s something you do in order to reorganise what you have, your assets, so I’m not going to discuss that.

“Are you just here to rubbish me?”

  1. The male interviewers posture near the end said it all…he did not want to do that…
David yes …did sound a little embalmed…but he would have had difficulty with the English accents…and the feed through the ear piece….and he is right…bankruptcy in the US it a totally different thing to the English version…..
Also…we folk of ‘a certain age’….do not really care what others think of us….you so get over ego as you age…LOL…….
I have never been a ‘fan’ ….but could relate to his annoyance….

  2. Cassidy sounds like he’d been on the sauce beforehand and didn’t help matters with his sarcastic first response to the opening pleasantry, but it must’ve been galling to have Holmes continue to prod him about his private financial affairs.
