Bad news Tony Jones… no hiding from a pledge to join Twitter.

Lateline adjusts to 211,000 viewers, leaving Tony Jones now on notice to fulfill his promise to join Twitter.

As noted yesterday, Lateline drew big audience numbers on Monday night in the middle of the Liberal spill.

Preliminary OzTAM numbers suggested it drew 414,000 on ABC News 24 -well above the 200,000 mark that Tony Jones said would need to be surpassed before he would join Twitter.

But it turns out those figures were not for Lateline itself, but the rolling coverage that aired in its 9:30 timeslot.

Today I have bad news for TJ…..

The adjusted figure for Lateline -airing at around 11pm on ABC News 24- is officially 211,000.

There was another 366,000 watching on ABC’s primary channel.

The Q & A host may now be forced to follow through on his promise ….a parting-gift from Tony Abbott perhaps?

    1. Well done! I was going to say that, with that level of insight, you would prob make a decent program scheduler but then I realised that fully half of the people who comment here would likely do a better job than the current monkeys in charge of the dartboards.
