ABC has advised Catastrophe Ep. 5 will not screen tonight, but will be replaced by a repeat of Monday’s Media Watch at 9.35pm. The episode ran earlier this week on ABC2, due to unfolding political events.

It will be followed by the final Bespoke will air at the earlier time of 9.55pm

Next Thursday ABC will air a double Catastrophe to conclude the series at 9.30pm.

Last night ABC repeated Q & A at 9:30pm and has held over Australian Story and Four Corners to next Monday.

  1. Appreciate the update on Catastrophe, I missed your notification yesterday.
I TiVo’d and found Media Watch etc in its place, then found last weeks Ep on iView. I was worried that show was canned.

  2. Very happy to learn that I will be able to see Media Watch as I missed it because I was fascinated by the political events on Monday night. No way was I going to change channels for anything, not even my ‘must watch’ favourite Monday night shows.

It was great to be able to see Q&A last night, especially as I wasn’t expecting it to be repeated.

  3. I agree with Secret Squïrrel. I think anyone who is likely to be aware of the repeat screening of Media Watch, probably has other means to watch it, and already has.

As for Catastrophe – I’ve really enjoyed it. Dare I say “laugh out loud funny”.

  4. I don’t see the need to bump a continuing series from its regular timeslot just run a repeat of MW. It’s not like it wasn’t broadcast. Most people that were keen to watch it would have either flicked over to ABC2, recorded it, or caught it on iView. Has ABC recently hired one of Seven’s programmers?

“Next Thursday ABC will air a double Catastrophe to conclude the series at 9.30pm.”
I take it that this means that the conclusion of Catastrophe will be commencing at 9:30pm, not that it will be concluding at that time?
