Nine has given the go-ahead to Karl Stefanovic panel show The Verdict.

Following the pilot last week, described as a cross between Q & A and The Project, Nine has committed to 8 episodes to launch at 9:30pm Sunday, October 11, following 60 Minutes.

Controversial panelist Mark Latham will be one of the show’s regulars, according to The Australian.

The pilot also included Sandy Rea, Amanda Vanstone, Justine Rogers, Campbell Brown, Seb Robertson, Pallavi Sharda and Tammy May.

The topics covered were racism, gay marriage, mental illness and IS.

An audience of 140 also participated in the discussion.

Amended.

  1. Thank goodness gay marriage was covered, any panel show without this topic would be pointless. Its going to be OK everyone, this show will now last at least a few weeks.

      1. The audience represents the Australian public, the guests are local and international experts, people of note etc. This sounds more like Today meets The Footy Show than Q&A.
