SBS documentary series First Contact, which featured 6 Australians visiting Indigenous communities, is set for a second season.

This time it will do as Go Back to Where You Came From did in its second season, and feature well-known Australians.

The project has received funding in a release from Film Victoria, today.

The provocative documentary series First Contact from Blackfella Films will also return for a second season taking a group of six well known Australians and immersing them in Aboriginal communities around Australia.

Two documentary projects have also been funded:

The Will to Fly follows the journey of Victorian Olympic aerial skiing champion Lydia Lassila; and Conviction takes viewers behind the scenes of a high-profile murder investigation, played out against tremendous public and social media pressure.

CEO of Film Victoria Jenni Tosi said, “This latest round of funded projects demonstrates the diversity of production coming out of Victoria.

“We’re delighted to provide these creative teams with the support they need to see their projects realised and also strengthen their careers.”
