Earlier this week the BBC confirmed a second series and Christmas special for UK sitcom Still Open All Hours.
All the key cast are confirmed to be returning, including Sir David Jason as Granville, Johnny Vegas as Eric and James Baxter as Leroy.
The series is a sequel to Open All Hours which ran for 26 episodes in four series from 1973 to 1985.
Written by Roy Clarke, the comedy airs in Australia on ABC.
The new series begins with a festive episode where Granville (Sir David Jason) bags himself a bargain Christmas tree, which gives him more problems than he wanted. Eric (Johnny Vegas) and Cyril (Kulvinder Ghir) embark on a new fitness regime and, as the holidays approach, Granville and Leroy (James Baxter) try to entice Madge (Brigit Forsyth) to their festive party.
Executive Producer Gareth Edwards says: “It‘s wonderful to be returning with our fantastic cast to Granville’s daft, warm and life-affirming world, full of the kind of characters and situations that could only come from the remarkable mind of Roy Clarke.”

Also written by Roy Clarke, who wrote many of the old series I like….Keeping Up Appearances….Last of the Summer Wine….etc….
It is a certain kind of humour…but definitely my kind….. 😀
Good I Like everything Sir David Jason appears in
I watched about 15 minutes of this. It is truly, truly, awful.
