Two US dramas Madam Secretary and The Good Wife are returning to TEN in mid October.
Now paired together on Wednesday nights, Madam Secretary returns at 8:30pm October 14 with The Good Wife at 9:30pm.
Both air 9 days after the US.
Madam Secretary
“The Show Must Go On.”
Elizabeth must take the oath of office when the President’s plane disappears over the Pacific Ocean.
Also, Henry is asked to recruit one of his Russian students to work for the U.S. government by Jane Fellows (Jill Hennessy), his new Defence Intelligence Agency handler.
Academy Award winner and Madam Secretary Executive Producer Morgan Freeman directed the episode and guest stars as Chief Justice Frawley.
The Good Wife
“Bond”
After the emotional departure of character favourite Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi) at the end of season six, the highly-anticipated season seven premiere boasts new cast members, including Cush Jumbo and Emmy Award winner Margo Martindale in a recurring role.
Season seven picks up with Alicia attempting to revive her struggling law career after a short-lived career in politics failed. She begins representing criminals in bond court and meets attorney Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), who challenges Alicia for her clients.
As Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) prepares to run for the presidency, he calls in national strategist Ruth Eastman (Margo Martindale) to help shape his presidential campaign. But this creates an interesting dynamic with Eli Gold (Alan Cumming). As Peter’s long-standing advsier, how will Eli cope with the newest campaigner?

Good news but would’ve been better if aired the week before and then it would’ve been a 2 day not 9 day difference.
Remember there are often pre-emptions in the US.
Don’t know what you mean by pre-emption in the US?
US does not always run episodes uninterrupted. Sports (and occasionally politics) will interrupt. It can leave our networks who are fast-tracking with their pants down.
I don’t necessarily agree with that theory. Networks will play around with shows for a number of reasons and that list keeps growing. We don’t need to add to it. I think the networks need to better communicate when there isn’t an episode available that week in the USA and viewers will get the idea. Networks seem to like to manipulate the fast tracking term and I don’t think viewers quite know what it means anymore.
It wasn’t a theory…. it was explaining pre-emptions to you.
@David Knox.
Fair enough. Still not a fan of it.
Awesome news. Both great shows
I love this…excellent lineup (same as the US), can’t wait to watch….might even get me to tape Heroes Reborn which I didn’t think I’d say
Oh, great news, love both these shows.
Excellent news.
Next week we see the return of The Blacklist, How to Get Away With Murder, plus a couple of new shows in The Player and Heroes Reborn, the latter of which starts this Wednesday.
I hope “Super September Seven” (what a joke!) is going to schedule the return of Grey’s Anatomy very soon.
One word – awesome :D!
