EXCLUSIVE: TV Tonight can reveal that Nine’s upcoming panel show, The Verdict hosted by Karl Stefanovic, will air on Thursday nights in October.

Nine originally set the show for 9:30pm Sundays but there have been concerns about the challenges of the timeslot.

It is now expected to replace The Footy Show, likely to appear from October 8th. Airing in an earlier timeslot will afford the show a bigger potential audience as well as an earlier wrap for Stefanovic.

Nine is understood to have committed to 5 episodes to test the new show, which will include a mix of regular panelists, including Mark Latham, and guests.

  1. It sounds like an anti The View. Stefanovic and Latham are fairly Blokey and likely to lose female viewers earlier in the week. Footy night more sensible, and if it rates lowly there who cares.

  2. Mark Latham?….. Its doomed already. Not like Nine does not have enough news and chats show now. Lets review…. Good Morning America (1.5 Hrs), The Early Morning News (30 mins), Today (3 hrs), Morning Show (2.5 hrs), Morning News (30 Mins), Ellen (1 hr), Nine News Now (1hr), Afternoon News (1.5 Hrs), Evening News (1 Hr), A Current Affair (30 Mins). All this adds up to 13 hours. Seven is much the same. Any time for none news shows guys??
