Chris Evans appears to have confirmed when the new-look Top Gear will be unveiled.
During an appearance at the Radio Festival in London on Tuesday he said, “Top Gear is not on until May, that’s seven months, three days and 18 hours [from now].”
However, the BBC has since told Digital Spy that it won’t be confirming exact transmission dates for the show at the moment.
Evans is presenter and producer of the revamped show but no co-presenters have yet been confirmed.
Former presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are confirmed for a new Amazon series, but no name or launch have yet been confirmed.

The story misses the point. Top Gear is never returning.
Probably not til May as they still can’t find co-hosts.
Clarkson and co will well and truly get the jump on them as they start filming pieces for their in the next week or two.
My bet is if its May it’s late May but at least we have an idea of the time frame and we won’t be getting a xmas special.
Now will the old guys try and beat that deadline and get something out for fans sooner?
If it is May, it will definitely be late, he is after all Captain Slow
