10 Comments:

  1. Was really looking forward to 800 Words, hoping for something like Seachange of the late 1990s. But what a disappointment. Mediocre script, mediocre acting and characters and so many ad breaks which went for over 4 minutes each. Won’t be watching again.

  2. Really liked 800 words. Wasn’t planning on watching it but thought I would give it a go at the last minute. Watched Tbl but it is getting boring and same old same old already thought with the new host they might change it up a bit but no, it’s the same boring old formula.. Might go back to my book next week,

  3. Watched XFactor on 7.
Recorded 800 Words on 7 and TBL Families on 10.
Then, after XFactor watched recordings of TBL Families and then watched 800 Words debut.
We loved all 3 programmes, listed by me above.
Recorded late evening comedy on SBS30. 🙂

  4. Really enjoyed 800 words last night. Its nice to see Bridie Carter back on our screens and also new actors playing his 2 children. Im not sure if Woody is a copy of Warney from rafters but so far so good and I will be watching next week.

    • Really enjoyed 800 Words as well.
Some of the characters were a little OTT but still really good – a really nice feel to it and some genuinely funny moments.
Yes, Woody definitely bears an uncanny resemblance to Warny from PTTR.

Of course it’s similar to Sea Change/Grass is Greener but that’s not a bad thing if done well.
Happy to see a decent local drama for a change – hope it will continue to rate really well.
