9:16 tribute to David Stratton

Adelaide's oddly named 9:16 event at the Adelaide Film Festival has taken a sly dig at David Stratton.

Adelaide’s oddly named 9:16 event at the Adelaide Film Festival (in which all the short films are shot in a vertical ratio of 9:16) has taken a sly dig at David Stratton – famously not a fan of films without tripods.

The free event is October 22nd.

  1. This is disgraceful! Stratts is one of the greatest contributors to arts culture in this country, and to have a dig at what is clearly a personal health issue in a shameless attempt at self-promotion is unforgivable. He should be allowed his blind spots because he’s so popular and influential. Just because the man has a very serious (and, by all accounts, personally sickening) aversion to sudden camera shifts, fast moving objects and blurry handheld, doesn’t excuse this pathetic attempt at “humour”. The creator of this video should be ashamed, and bury him/herself under a rock for all eternity. Go Stratts!
