  1. I record the X Factor. I watch the Live Performance show in 40 odd minutes and the results show in about 20 minutes… Saving myself 3 and a half odd hours of crap.

  2. The X Factor gets good total people numbers but is well behind The Block in the demos. Does that mean XF skews old? I never would have picked that.

  3. Watched TB Loser Families on 10.
Recorded XFactot on 7 to allow spooling through the rubbish to see the results only.
Recorded 800 Words to watch after XFactor.

  4. I recorded 800 words last night, only because I have to get up very early and it finished to late. I watched the new ep of big bang. But its great to see an aussie drama back on 7 at 8:30 Tuesday nights and its good to see it be about a single dad bring up 2 teenagers. Im really enjoying it.

I flick between x factor and the biggest loser. Poor Shannon dealing with the blue family. They are lucky they dont have Commando as a trainer. He’d nag there heads together.

      • But shouldn’t that mean it should do well in the youngest demo at least? Even TBL is beating it in the demos. Maybe it has lost the X factor

        • radiC00l: No.The 16-39 demo is the youngest demo, and that age group is not the Bieber/One Direction demographic. The celebrity fandom for those acts consists mainly of girls under 16, not 16+ year olds.

If anything, Seven have become concerned by the fact that X Factor keeps losing to The Block in the demos, so they have tried to increase their demo share by pushing Bieber and ID. The problem is that they have grossly overestimated the appeal of those acts, who are popular with preteens and girls in their early teens, but that popularity does not extend to the rest of Australia. I think a lot of people in Seven’s core 25-54 demo and even 16-39/18-49 would be put off by the heavy emphasis on these acts, and won’t be attracted to a show that appears to be aimed at tween girls.
