Gone: Mesmerised. Returning: Dog Patrol
Seven pulls its newest show after audiences fail to fall under its spell.

Another to add to the flop pile this year: Mesmerised.
Seven has yanked the show after just a single outing, after the show drew just 411,000 viewers landing fourth in its timeslot.
With so much attention on Nine’s The Verdict, Seven may have dodged a media bullet with what could only be described as “Married At First Llama.”
The Peter Powers show will immediately be replaced by new episodes of Dog Patrol, previously a show designated for summer. Seven could possible play unaired episodes from December.
It will be followed by a Mighty Cruise Ships: Celebrity Solstice episode at 8:30pm next Thursday, which whilst it sounds like an advertorial, was produced by Discovery Canada.
That episode is already on YouTube here.

“… will immediately be replaced by new episodes of Dog Patrol”
And a Netflix executive’s grin just got a little bit bigger…
October and the programming cupboard is already empty at ch7. And why does FTA finish in November? It’s 2015 and all stations should be looking at a twelve month rating season.
Their programming cabinet isn’t empty, they could be playing OUAT or The Goldbergs for example. I don’t understand why 7 don’t programme anything decent for Thursday nights.
I would be watched this show if it wasn’t for your wise words steering viewers in another direction David. So thanks ✌️
Wow, that didn’t take long! Very disappointed with Channel Seven for not even giving it a chance. Quite an entertaining alternative for a Thursday night I thought…
