Galaxy Pop opens LA office

Aussie production company Galaxy Pop has opened a US office in Beverly Hills.

The company, helmed by Gian Christian and Dina McPherson, has had international success with series including Get Ace and Rock It! and are now expanding production on three projects.

Early in the new year work begins on season two of Get Ace, which recently sold into the US and Canada. Last week it was nominated for Asian TV Award for Best Animated Series.

Next year also sees filming begin on new comedy telemovie New Cupid, penned by McPherson, and another yet to be announced teen project based out of the US.

“After a solid year of dedicated focus, we’re thrilled to open our US office. It’s a big step for us as we shift gears and embark on a new adventure in the States. We have new projects in development, in production and even a stage production on Broadway,” the duo said in a statement.
