Ratings: That's a wrap. The Block auction caps off Nine's ratings year.

Nine has taken the final week of the 2015 ratings year led by The Block auction, which was much bigger than Seven’s X Factor finale. Cricket also helped drive the latter part of the week.

Nine: The Block (Winner Announced: 1.78m), Nine News (Sun: (1.15m), 60 Minutes (1.12m), Test Cricket (Session 3: 1.03m).

Seven: The X Factor (Winner Announced: 1.2m), Seven News (Sun: 1.12m), Sunday Night (849,000) and Beach Cops (743,000).

TEN: Have You Been Paying Attention? (709,000), TBL Families (Mon: 627,000), The Project (7pm: 627,000) and The Living Room (491,000).

ABC: Australian Story (856,000), ABC News (Sun: 791,000), Four Corners (787,000) and New Tricks (778,000).

SBS: Scotland: Rome’s Final Frontier (352,000), Kebab Kings (235,000), Shane Delia’s Moorish Spice Journey (230,000) and Extreme Railway Journeys (230,000).

Nine ranked first on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Seven scored on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Ratings resume on Sunday February 7th 2016.

  1. Why do we have ratings periods. We obviously have ratings all the year. They’re reported here. Does the fact that “ratings are over” make it cheaper to advertise during the 6PM news this week? Do advertisers pay more to advertise on 9 if their is something popular on Go at the same time? Why is Network share important? Don’t advertisers pay to place adverts on a show or time on a channel? So many questions, so few answers.
