More bio-dramas are on the way according to media reports.
New Nine CEO Hugh Marks has greenlit two miniseries about Paul Hogan and Olivia Newton-John, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The Hogan project is to be made by John Edwards from Endemol Shine Australia while the Newton-John production will come from Screentime. Both Edwards and Screentime CEO Rory Callaghan are former colleagues of Marks via Southern Star productions.
Both projects are reportedly due for release in 2017.
Last night’s telemovie Mary: The Making of a Princess drew a healthy 929,000 for TEN while recent dramas on Peter Allen and INXS have enjoyed both critical and ratings success.
