EXCLUSIVE: Seven political correspondent will sit down on ABC’s Insiders as one of the show’s panelists.
Host Barrie Cassidy told TV Tonight, “We’re taking on Mark Riley from Seven. He’s the first political correspondent from the commercial networks that we’ve taken on.
“Essentially in the past we’ve drawn on the major newspaper groups, mainly from the Press gallery.”
Riley will appear on the second last Insiders this year.
Nine’s Laurie Oakes will also appear in the show’s Talking Pictures segment with Mike Bowers this Sunday.

I’m sure it will be nice for Mark Riley to actually talk about politics, considering Seven barely mentions the subject these days!
“Nine’s Laurie Oakes will also appear in the show’s Talking Pictures segment”.
Perhaps Mark Riley could appear in a new segment ” Not Talking Pictures”? Just rerun that classic one-way ” interview” he had with Tony what’s-his-name outside Parliament House in Feb. 2011.
That’s funny.
Given how much Mr Riley hates Tony Abbott, he’ll fit in nicely on the Insiders couch
Tony who??
He’ll fit nicely on the couch in the vast majority of Australian homes too.
Abbott’s gone. Get over it.
“He’s just a little dumped! He’s still good! He’s still good!”
“He’s gone…”
“I know…”
