TEN catch-up service tenplay is now available on Telstra TV.
TEN Chief Digital Officer, Rebekah Horne, said: “From today, Telstra TV will provide immediate and seamless access to Network TEN’s catch-up and streaming product, anytime and for free.
“Telstra TV is a great opportunity for streaming growth and is the next step in tenplay’s cross-platform strategy, offering a first-class viewing experience wherever our audiences are.
“Some of our biggest and most compelling entertainment, drama, comedy and sport programs are available to watch straight away on Telstra TV, including MasterChef Australia, TBL Families, The Project 7pm, Mary: The Making Of A Princess, The 2015 ARIA Awards, Homeland, Madam Secretary, The Good Wife and Neighbours,” she said.
“In 2016, viewers can look forward to even more innovative and exciting new content, including hit programs, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and its new companion show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Now, Shark Tank, MasterChef Australia, The Bachelor Australia and Offspring, along with our big new shows such as Australian Survivor, Brock, The Wrong Girl and Long Lost Family.
“In 2016, tenplay will continue to grow its distribution, content and functionality, including more live streaming of big prime-time shows and expanding across more platforms.”
Telstra TV, which rebadges a Roku device, launched last month with apps including Netflix, Presto, SBS on Demand, Plus7 and 9JumpIn.

I’ll wait for Telstra to say which SVOD services are a “free download”.
One day we’ll be able to buy a TV that can do it all. We have the hardware right now, it’s just a matter of getting all the relevant software in the same place. Then our wide screen TV’s will just be large smart-phones!
Is ABC going to be the only FTA network to offer Chromecast for their app? I have a smart TV, Foxtel IQ3, a twin-tuner HD DVD/PVR and a Chromecast – I refuse to buy another device and go make things more complicated.
So presumably your smart TV isn’t from one of the “Big 4” (Sony, Samsung, LG, Panasonic), your PVR isn’t FreeviewPlus certified (can’t really blame you for choosing one that’s not), and since the Chromecast doesn’t really run ‘apps’ itself I guess you don’t have any IOS or Android phones/tablets to stream to it.
Don’t worry – Telstra & ABC have both said that TelstraTV should have iView “by the end of the year”.
I have a LG smart tv which only has apps for ABC, SBS, Netflix and Crackle; my PVR isn’t Freeview Plus as I read given I live outside the cities (in the MIA) I would only be able to access SBS and ABC (which I can already do); and I run my Chromecast with a iPhone 5S which of all the catch up apps I have installed only ABC iView, Crackle, Netflix and Stan are Chromecast compatible. So given that although my TV is “old” (I believe 2013 model) with it and all the extras I already have I should be able to access the FTA catch up services on my TV. But maybe I’m missing something.
