Go-to chat show guy Darren Sanders has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Pozible to try and return his show on community channel Aurora.

“There seems to have been quite a bit of media interest lately about the possibility of late night chat shows on a number of the channels and now is the time to put a spotlight on The Darren Sanders Show,” he said.

“Thanks to GO! Channel for the opportunity broadcasting the previous 2 series, but Midnight Wednesdays made it a little hard to attract a wider audience.

“We are raising the funds to take the show into a Prime Time Slot on Foxtel’s Aurora Channel in 2016.”

To support his venture you can make a pledge here.

  1. I wonder why the FTA networks are so against doing some live late night decent programming and instead persist with filling it with cheap overseas content that clearly doesn’t rate. Sure, it’s a gamble but there are risks in all locally produced shows that go to air. Is it because most wouldn’t air during the all important prime time?

Wasn’t there great success with these formats in years past? Surely there are some fantastic late night talent floating about just waiting to be snapped up – Darren Sanders as above, Darren & Brose, Joel Creasey? etc.
