Originally planned for 2016, Showtime’s Twin Peaks series revival has been pushed out to the following year.

Deadline reports CBS Corp CEO Leslie Moonves said during the company’s Q3 earnings call that the drama series will arrive sometime in 2017.

In August Showtime Networks President David Nevins said that the series from Lynch and Mark Frost said there was no pressure on Lynch, who has complete creative control over the project. “I’ll take it when it’s ready,” Nevins said. “I hope that’s sooner rather than later.”

This contrasts from his 2014 statement “What more can I say — Twin Peaks with David Lynch and Mark Frost on Showtime in 2016!” But that was also before Lynch walked away from the project for several months citing insufficient money to do the script the way he wanted.

Kyle McLachlan is returning, joined by newcomers Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper, Balthazar Getty and Amanda Seyfried.
