The Women’s Big Bash League debuts on free-to-air television when the Adelaide Strikers take on the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba tomorrow.
Commentating for ONE are former Australian cricketers Mel Jones and Lisa Sthalekar with TEN Sport’s Andy Maher.
It has been a year of global domination in women’s sport in Australia and cricket has been right at the heart of it. After a victorious Ashes campaign over the winter, attention now turns to the domestic scene with the launch of the rebel Women’s Big Bash League.
The Brisbane Heat will be giving it their all on home turf, while the Adelaide Strikers will be looking to feed off their historic table-topping Women’s National Cricket League season with the South Australian Scorpions. If charismatic English wicketkeeper batsman Sarah Taylor is in form, anything could happen.
Saturday, December 19, from 1.30pm AEDT.
