Former Glee star Mark Salling was yesterday released on bail after an arrest on charges of possession of child pornography.

Salling, best known as Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee, was taken into custody after the Los Angeles Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a warrant at his home.

TMZ reported authorities allegedly found more than 1,000 images of “child sexual exploitation” on Salling’s computer.

Police spokesman Ricardo Hernandez said officers specialising in internet crimes took the 33-year-old into custody after searching his home in the suburb of Sunland.

“The case will be submitted to the district attorney and they will decide whether there’s enough to continue,” he said.

L.A. County Sheriff’s Department records indicated a bail of $US20,000.

In 2013, Salling was sued for sexual assault and battery by a woman who alleged that he had unprotected sex with her despite demands he wear a condom. Despite his denials, a judge sided with the Plaintiff, demanding Salling pay her a whopping $2.7 million.

His next court date is set for Jan. 22, 2016.
