Improvisation comedy No Activity, featuring Patrick Brammall and Darren Gilshenan, has been renewed for a second season by Stan.

The comedy about aimless detectives on a lengthy stake-out, which also features Genevieve Morris, Dan Wyllie, Harriet Dyer and David Field, was the first local commission by the streaming service.

The series will be filmed in Sydney and Los Angeles in 2016 and is expected to premiere exclusively on Stan in the second half of the year.

“We have been overwhelmed by the success of No Activity and the positive reaction to the series from both critics and viewers. We’ve seen a huge demand from fans for a second season and we can’t wait to see where Trent O’Donnell and the Jungle team take these characters next,” Nick Forward, Stan’s Director of Product and Content, said.

“With No Activity Season 2, Wolf Creek and more to come, 2016 will be a huge year for Stan Originals as we more than double our investment in local production.”

Jason Burrows, Managing Director of Jungle, said: “We all totally love this show and are really excited about the second season. Working with Stan has been an absolute joy and we’re so glad that it’s been such a success for them.”

Written and directed by Jungle’s Trent O’Donnell, No Activity was developed together with Patrick Brammall, Darren Gilshenan and David Field. Executive producer is Jason Burrows and producer is Chloe Rickard.
