Aden Young has been nominated in the US Critics’ Choice Awards, for his performance in Rectify.

He is the only Aussie to have scored a nod in the Television categories -although Mad Max dominates the Film categories.

Australian-based US drama Childhood’s End is also up for an award in the Telemovie / Limited Series category.

There are plenty of fresh titles in these nominees including some that rarely get due acknowledgement: UnREAL, The Leftovers, Master of None and Arthur & George.

Winners will be announced on January 17th.

  1. Finally up to speed on Mr Robot via Foxtel and hate to say, but it’s not that well made.

It gets pretty farcical and not necessarily due to the plot, more just how they’ve constructed dialogue and tried to execute certain things…

  2. Bokeem Woodbine definitely deserves the award for best supporting actor. He’s been brilliant in Season 2 of Fargo.
Ditto for Helen McCrory , Patty LuPone and Eva Greene in their respective categories for Penny Dreadful. They were all outstanding, as was Season 2 of Penny Dreadful.
Wasn’t mad on Season 1 but Season 2 has been so much better – really engrossing.
