I rarely get the chance to run regional Programming posts (mostly because there is minimal unique content, let alone any I am advised of).

But on Saturday Nine will air a 20th Anniversary Edition of the Nine Gold Coast News.

Nine Gold Coast News will be broadcasting a special bulletin in commemoration of the Gold Coast News’ 20th Anniversary, live from the Bundall parklands.

5:30pm Saturday on Nine (Gold Coast region only).

  1. So it’s 20 years since Nine started illegally running unique content on it’s far north Gold Coast repeater for the Brisbane licence area?

    It’s moot now of course that Nine own NBN. The Gold Coast is the only market where Nine runs two local news services.

  2. I like Gold Coast News, but I haven’t been watching it for 20 years. It’s my anniversary too, it was 10 years ago this year that I moved to the Gold Coast from Sydney. It seems like only yesterday.
