Very cool couch gag from The Simpsons sees Homer in an 80s-style cop series, taking on none other than Ned Flanders.
His crime-fighting buddy is, of course, none other than the couch itself.

Everyone seems to have forgotten the ep from some years ago which featured a variety of ‘spin off’ series that had different locations other than Springfield.
When your TV show is older than DVDs, the couch gags are bound to get a little tired…
It looks like Moonbeam City
All time best couch gag – right down to the Automan reference (‘Ottoman’ mode – there’s three references in that alone!).
Awesome… Awesome to the max. Ease my way up to the top 80s style. Yeah Police Cops should be a spinnoff. It does make sense that Flanders is the bad guy although Fat Tony Domico would have been ideal. Everything was stylised in the 80s.
Police Cops!
This needs to be a whole show by itself.
It probably will be, in the same way Mork and Mindy, Laverne and Shirley and The Bionic Woman were never meant to be separate shows initially.
It should be but I wouldn’t hold my breath. It could all come down to the voice actors. They’ve already threatened to quit if the didn’t get more money. I can’t imagine they’d do more work without getting yet more cash…
