ABC comedy Please Like Me has been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the US.

The Josh Thomas comedy, which screens in the US on Pivot, has some series competition in the
awards that honour media “for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.”

Also competing in the Comedy category are:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, FOX
Faking It, MTV
Grace and Frankie, Netflix
Looking, HBO
Master of None, Netflix
Modern Family, ABC
Orange Is the New Black, Netflix
Transparent, Amazon
Vicious, PBS

Late last year Please Like Me also enjoyed a screening at the prestigious Paley Center.

The Paley Center Director of Programming, Rene Reyes, told the audience on the night that he binge watched the first two seasons on a Delta flight and got off and immediately asked Pivot if Paley could host a PLM screening.

It marked the first and only time an Australian TV show has been honoured at the Paley Center.
