Returning: Girls

Season 5 of Lena Dunham’s Girls begins in late February.

Dunham writes and directs the season premiere as well as the second episode (co-written with Jenni Konner). This season, the girls prove that friendship is forever…complicated.

It was recently announced that S6 in 2017 would be the final.

Fifth season of the HBO comedy that follows the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls as they struggle through life. In Season 5, Hannah (Lena Dunham) starts turning over a new leaf after breaking up with Adam (Adam Driver). Shoshanna’s (Zoisa Memet) life is expected to change after she accepts a job offer in Japan. Jessa’s (Jemima Kirke) emotional experiences from the past inspire her to become a therapist; and Marnie (Allison Williams) finds herself with two men in her life.
