TEN regular Sam Mac has been revealed as narrator of Seven’s upcoming dating series, First Dates.

Mac, who has appeared on The Project and Wake Up, narrates the series which launches at 9pm Wednesday February 3rd.

The show, based on a UK series of the same name, sees singles on romantic blind dates in restaurants.

“There’s got a good mix of nice people with genuine intentions and freaks,” Mac told News Corp.

  1. Just thought I’d let you know David that Sam Mac has been making regular appearances on Weekend Sunrise and also occasionally on Sunrise lately. Not sure if he is signed to Seven. He could ruin his career at Seven before it even starts by doing this. Just ask Shura Taft.

    1. Not just that but also Jason Dundas where he hosted The Big Adventure. He used to be on 9 but now moved to 7 in 2014. I don’t know what happened to him right now.

  2. As if the show didn’t sound sleazy enough, Sam Mac will be sure to raise the smut factor (all the wile smirking at his own jokes). He is the reason I could not watch Wake Up. Unfunny but thinks he is God’s gift to comedy.
    No thanks. I’ll pass.

  3. Oh Sam…I know he has to make a living but he deserves so much better than this. On the bright side, at least he’s only narrating and there no signs yet that he’ll be on Dancing With the Stars. I do hope we’ll still see him on The Project, though!
