  1. Why is it most people are negative about everything, give the channel time to get settled in and see what happens, and if these negative people don’t want to watch it they don’t have to, but there are plenty of people who like to watch old series or old movies and will welcome something like this, some people have to complain about everything and anything if it does not appeal to them, what boring lives they have.

  2. and once again those of us in the regions who rely on VAST miss out. To my best estimates we are currently missing out on 4? channels that ppl in the regions with antenna and metro can get.

  3. I think it’s a great addition my parents are retired they always say in the afternoon there is nothing on FTA to watch this will be a welcome addition being they can’t afford pay TV. along what the new lifestyle channel on nine and the new food channel on SBS and these HD channels who needs pay tv.

  4. I think the schedule is fine but they shouldn’t bother with TV shows late at night, that’s what the main channel is for. just have movies from 8:30 and squeeze as many 30 minute shows as possible from 6:30-8:30 Monday to Friday with no double eps unless they are behind with a certain show.

I think The Goldbergs need to be moved to 7flix, that show gets no respect on 7 or any comedy for that matter. Parks and Rec is finishing up with its last season so that can stay there. also It’s Always Sunny needs to go to 7mate too with their comedy lineup on Mondays.

Amazing Race should be played Friday’s or Sunday’s at 7:30, Muppets Saturday’s, Mindy Project perhaps at 6:30 or 7:30 Sunday’s with Amazing Race. The Goldbergs could go to Thursday’s at 7:30, or even have Mindy on at 8:00. there’s so many different and better lineups they could have come up with. but didn’t.

  5. I’m quite surprised, I thought possibly kids movies at 630 then other movies at 830 then late movie at 1030 every night, and mid morning and afternoon movies week days with filler in between, and a lot more themed movies weekend days, it is called 7flix yes what was I thinking!

  6. 90 minutes of Seinfeld from 6pm – could be worse, it could be Big Bang.
I get the feeling that the other shows they’ve promised are being held incase any these initial show fail, then they can replace some straight away

  7. Well the only show that excites me is Amazing Race. Is the 11.30 one an encore of the 7.30 one? I hope so as 7.30 is a really bad time.

What happened to Scandal, Grey’s & How to get away with murder? I was looking forward to them.

    1. Yes the 11.30pm broadcast is the encore of the 7.30 one. The encore is needed because the show will be up against live NRL in Sydney and Brisbane on Channel Nine.

  8. Is this some sort of consumer trial by 7 to see how this idea goes. It’s been cleverly designed to look like a streaming cannel but really is a place to use licensed content otherwise held in store or infrequently used. The limited content will likely deter much of the prospective audience so once again the lack of commercial creativity and wasted opportunities with these add on channels continues.

    1. Yes, I’d say it was last shown as far back as the 80s, when it used to be on 5.30 on channel 9. I’d love to see old sit coms from the 60s and 70s that they havn’t shown in years.

    2. They should give Soap a run as well (where Benson comes from), I have it on DVD and still dip in from time to time, a new generation needs to see Soap I believe, was brilliant.

  9. interesting. I’m liking the look of it. those promos made it look like a female aimed movie channel, some of those titles aren’t so much. reminds me a little of when 7two started, similar. this also makes me think they are having their own version of GO. but they should have themed movie nights.

but what about those other New shows they were advertising – How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy and Amazing Race. where will they go? The Muppets should be played on Saturdays or Sundays. not during the week.

so glad they are playing retro comedies, they could always add more elsewhere: Growing Pains, Alf, Step By Step, Mad About You, Just Shoot Me, The Nanny, Ned and Stacey, NewsRadio, Perfect Strangers and such.

  10. Here I was hoping they’d have movies throughout the day… My old man is 88, has lost his mobility and can’t afford things like Foxtel (assuming I could even teach him to use them). A channel with more daytime entertainment is desperately in need, as there’s F all on during the day at the moment.

  11. Perhaps my household is the only one excited by this! I’ve talked my husband out of downloading Once Upon a Time many times, so he’s thrilled his patience has finally paid off. I’m also stoked to see The Mindy Project and The Muppets back. And as big fans of Grey’s, Scandal, and How to Get Away With Murder we’re stoked to see new episodes of those soon. Honestly, 7Flix has all of our favourite Seven shows that have gotten shoddy treatment!

  12. Basically just shuffling a lot of programs around from one 7 network channel to another as they do now. So much for a “new” channel; they’re all the same, filled with old, old tv series and movies that are repeated ad nauseam.

    1. The entire channel will be mostly repeats of movies. They have a marginal cost of zero. It’s the double eps of ABC and NBC shows that have been gathering dust in Seven’s vault and haven’t been available anywhere in this country that are interesting. Once Upon A Time, The Mindy Project and Agent Carter for me.

Could be worse, if it wasn’t for SBS’s lifestyle channel, it would have been wall-to-wall realestate and cooking shows.
